Buxus is the most commonly used hedging plant in the world!
English Box or Common Box is the most popular of the Buxus varieties! It is hardy, shade and frost tolerant but prefers an open sunny spot. As with all buxus it is versatile looks great in formal hedging, container planting or used as an ornamental.
Microphylla Microphylla or Korean box is taller and less compact which makes it a good option for less formal hedging. It can yellow in the sun so is the best Buxus for a shady area.
